About Elizabeth Berg

Elizabeth has dedicated nineteen years of her career to compassionately and vigorously defending those accused of crimes. As a law student, she worked as a law clerk for the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office, where she gained invaluable experience researching and writing motions. From there, she was hired by the San Joaquin County Public Defender’s Office, where she handled misdemeanor and juvenile dependency cases at all stages of the proceedings, up to and including jury and court trials, in cases ranging from dui’s, assault, battery, child endangerment, receiving stolen property, theft offenses, criminal threats and resisting arrest.

Work & Experience

In 1992, Elizabeth began working for the Marin County Public Defender’s Office, where she continued to zealously and effectively represent her clients in juvenile dependency, and juvenile delinquency matters, as well as in misdemeanor and felony matters, including possession for sale, mayhem, domestic violence, weapons possession, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, embezzlement, probation revocation hearings and expungment hearings.
