About Kelly Prida

Kelly was born and raised in Miami, FL and knew from a young age she wanted to go into the legal profession. As a High School Student, she interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in the Trafficking and DUI Department and enjoyed the experience so much she returned to complete their internship program for Undergraduate Students after her first year, where she worked with the Felony Department.

Kelly is a First-Generation College Student and is passionate about increasing representation of traditionally marginalized communities in the legal field. As a child of immigrants, she recognizes the difficulties many minorities face in being aware of the rights they have in the U.S. and believes proper representation will help bridge the gap between minority communities and the legal field. Through her Political Science and Editing, Writing, and Media majors, she has been able to articulate her voice on the importance of equal representation for ALL; and as a result, has had her satire piece “The Actual Minority” published in a textbook. Kelly hopes to bring change through her writing and legal work by spreading awareness and impacting people one step at a time.
