About Marcela Ruelas Giron
Legal Assistant Marcela Ruelas Giron is committed to helping people with legal problems, and it is something she has been doing for a long time. Marcela currently volunteers at FM4, an Immigrant Attention Center in Mexico, helping by providing legal and medical attention to immigrants and refugees that are heading to the United States. Her experience working with FM4 and the UNHCR is something she believes provides her with a unique insight to the legal process that she will use to better assist our clients. Marcela can speak multiple languages and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
Marcela is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology at The University of Guadalajara. Her ultimate goal is to obtain a Master’s Degree in immigration and gender studies, and she believes her current role here will help provide some insight into the role immigration and gender play in the justice system.
