Community Events

The Nieves Law Firm spent September 6 in Berkeley at the 6th Annual Bizerkeley Food Fest, one of Northern California’s largest celebrations of plant-based food. Held at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park, the festival brought together 70+ vendors, live music, tastings, food, desserts, and community activities, while also helping raise support for California Pit Bull Rescue.

At our booth, our team connected with festivalgoers, shared legal information, and had meaningful conversations about criminal defense and the importance of knowing your rights when challenges arise. Events like this give us an opportunity to make legal access more approachable while meeting people in a relaxed, community-centered setting.

Between the conversations, the community energy, and the support for California Pit Bull Rescue, Bizerkeley Food Fest was a memorable reminder of how local events can create opportunities to educate, connect, and give back.

On August 23, The Nieves Law Firm joined the Fairfield community for Hot Rancho Nights at Rancho Solano Golf Course, a family-friendly event featuring classic cars, live music, food, and local vendors.

Throughout the afternoon, our team connected with attendees, shared helpful legal resources, answered general questions, and discussed topics related to criminal defense, individual rights, and navigating legal challenges. These conversations gave community members an opportunity to ask questions in an approachable setting and gain a better understanding of how legal issues may affect them or their loved ones.

For us, community events are opportunities to serve our community beyond the courtroom by sharing knowledge, providing useful resources, and helping make legal information more accessible. We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by to connect with our team.

The Nieves Law Firm was proud to support the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area’s 6th Annual Scholarship Golf Classic on August 10 at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville. NLF participated as a hole sponsor and hosted a booth at the event, where Aaron Devers represented the firm, connected with attendees, and handed out NLF swag throughout the day.

The annual Golf Classic supports 100 Black Men of the Bay Area’s commitment to expanding access to higher education for deserving Bay Area students. Through its scholarship program, the organization also provides students with mentorship and support throughout their college careers. Since establishing its Young Black Scholars Program in 1992, the organization reports awarding more than $2.2 million to over 1,100 Bay Area students.

It was an amazing event and a meaningful opportunity for our team to support an organization investing in education, mentorship, and the next generation of Bay Area leaders.

The Nieves Law Firm was proud to support the Philmore Graham Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament. The tournament honors Philmore Graham’s commitment to helping young people recognize their potential through education and character development.

Event proceeds support college scholarships for deserving students, along with youth mentoring, tutoring, college-readiness, and life-skills programs in Vallejo and surrounding communities. We were honored to participate in an event that combines community, education, and opportunity.

The Nieves Law Firm was proud to join the community at this year’s LakeFest! Our own Aaron Devers represented the firm at the NLF booth, where he met attendees, distributed giveaways, and helped introduce community members to our team and the work we do. The event offered a valuable opportunity to build relationships, answer questions, and connect with people outside the courtroom.

Community events like LakeFest remind us that strong advocacy begins with trust. By showing up, listening, and creating meaningful connections, we continue building relationships with the communities we are honored to serve.
