About Keydon Levy

Keydon Levy is a highly skilled criminal defense attorney with over a decade of experience in the courtroom. Before joining The Nieves Law Firm in 2021, he served for nine years as a Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County, where he managed high-volume felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases from intake to disposition. His time as a prosecutor provided invaluable insight into the justice system, but after witnessing how criminal allegations were weaponized—often against people of color—he made the pivotal decision to shift to defense work, where he now fights to protect the rights of the accused.

Throughout his career, Mr. Levy has built a reputation for his sharp litigation skills, meticulous case analysis, and strategic negotiation abilities. Beyond his legal practice, he has contributed to the next generation of trial attorneys as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University School of Law, teaching mock trial and evidence courses.

Mr. Levy earned his Juris Doctorate from UC Berkeley, where he founded the Black Law Student Association mock trial team, led them to regional victories, and served as President of Law Students of African Descent. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated summa cum laude and as valedictorian of his class.

He is a lifetime member of the Charles Houston Bar Association and has held leadership positions with organizations such as the Bay Area Black Prosecutors Association. He is licensed to practice law in California, New York, the District of Columbia, and multiple federal district courts.

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Levy enjoys building motorcycles and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. His dedication to justice, strategic expertise, and commitment to his clients make him a valued member of The Nieves Law Firm.
