San Francisco native Daniel Kogan is a Legal Assistant at the Nieves Law Firm. As a first-generation Jewish American whose family originates from countries where the rule of law was unjust, he is determined to contribute in every possible capacity towards ensuring equal opportunities for all within the criminal justice system. From his initial exposure to the field of criminal defense, Daniel was certain that his future would involve helping those who find themselves facing criminal charges. Daniel is multilingual and can speak Russian fluently and Spanish at a basic level.
Daniel is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics at the University of California, San Diego, with the ultimate goal of becoming a criminal defense attorney. He has prior experience working as a legal clerk at a criminal defense firm in Walnut Creek and plans on utilizing that experience to provide high-quality legal work for the attorneys he assists and the clients he works with.
During his leisure time, Daniel enjoys running, learning about early 20th Century history, and spending time with friends and family. To unwind, he often watches comedies. Some of his favorites are “Don’t Mess With The Zohan” and “Coming To America.”
