With over 32 years of legal experience, Darryl Stallworth brings unparalleled expertise and dedication to criminal defense. Darryl began his distinguished career as an Alameda County Deputy District Attorney, a role he held for 15 years. During this time, he tried over 60 cases, including 25 murder trials and one death penalty case, while resolving more than 10,000 cases. His extensive courtroom experience has cemented his reputation as a skilled litigator, particularly in high-stakes criminal matters.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., Political Science) and the UC Davis School of Law (J.D.), Darryl’s passion for justice and advocacy was evident early on. He has since lectured internationally in Brazil, Malaysia, India, and Turkey on effective case resolution strategies, sharing his insights with legal professionals worldwide.
Darryl is the author of A Guide to Understanding the Criminal Justice System: Sex Crimes and the producer of the legal education TV series Staying Out of Jail. His dedication to mentorship and community engagement is reflected in his involvement with organizations such as the Charles Houston Bar Association (President, 2001), the Black Pre-Law Society at UC Berkeley, and 100 Black M hi en of the Bay Area.
